Now what do you do with the idea? You could start a business – but could you start a viable business? Find the answer with Kauffman FastTrac®.

Kauffman FastTrac® is a flexible course with a proven framework to help support you as you start a business and begin your journey on the road to success.

The five-week course will take place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Friday, April 7 through May 5, 2023, at the New Growth Women’s Business Center in El Dorado Springs, MO.The cost is $125. The sessions are in-person. Virtual attendance is an option.

The immersive FastTrac course provides you with information and tools you need to think through your business idea and prepare for launch.

In this course you will work to:

  • Discover how your business concept matches your personal vision.
  • Align your business concept with a real market opportunity.
  • Learn how to set realistic financial goals for your business.
  • Determine the unique features and benefits of your product/service.
  • Find your target market and discover your competitive advantage.
  • Define your company’s brand.
  • Learn how to manage business functions and develop an organizational culture.
  • Determine the steps to profitability.
  • Identify potential sources of funding for your business.
  • Find the available resources in your community for ongoing business planning.

The Kauffman FastTrac® course is presented by the New Growth Women’s Business Center with support from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Our instructor is New Growth Women’s Business Center Director Tiffany Frost. She is a certified Kauffman FastTrac® course facilitator. As New Growth Senior Director Business Services/Women’s Business Center Director, Tiffany and team work to advance rural entrepreneurs in all stages of business development and growth. Tiffany has been the WBC director since July 2021. Her background includes 17 years with the West Central Missouri Community Action’s Head Start program, working her way from a Secretary to Deputy Director of Safety and Compliance. Tiffany left West Central in 2019 to become the Business Teacher at Osceola High School for two years before coming back to her passion of helping rural communities grow and be successful.
