Ken’s webinar recording has arrived! You can find it HERE and the slides to his presentation HERE! Don’t wait until it’s too late to understand the value of succession planning! Join us as Kenneth (Ken) Surbrugg, the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) and a Business Consultant with the Missouri Small Business Development Center (MO SBDC) at MSSU, introduces the basic information necessary when looking to buy or sell an existing business. Ken will cover topics such as exit strategies, success rates of business succession, reasons individuals buy and sell a business, documents typically needed in a business transaction, transition, and determinants of business value. This webinar is not intended to give legal or tax advice and it is recommended that individuals first consult with an accountant and/or lender before deciding on buying or selling a business. As Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, Ken teaches online entrepreneurship classes to students looking to earn a certificate in entrepreneurship or earn a Minor in Entrepreneurship. Ken also coordinates various campus-wide events and is one of the sponsors of the Entrepreneurship Club. As a business consultant with the MO SBDC, Ken works with entrepreneurs looking to start a new business or those entrepreneurs who own an existing small business by providing research and counseling to assist clients with their needs. Ken has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Missouri State University and has earned the Economic Development Financial Professional certification through the National Development Center. Ken is also a Certified Global Business Professional through NASBITE, an organization dedicated to international business
