Both the federal government and the state of Missouri offer woman-owned business certifications. Obtaining a certification can give a woman-owned business a competitive advantage in being awarded either a prime government contract or a subcontract.
In this free New Growth Women’s Business Center webinar, we will discuss both state and federal woman-owned business certifications. These will include the federal Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) certifications.
REGISTERAdditionally, we will discuss the Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) certification, which is awarded by the state of Missouri’s Office of Equal Opportunity, and certifications awarded through various governmental entities such as the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) and Lambert/KCI Airports.
The webinar will cover various application processes for certification as a woman-owned business. This discussion will include the required steps and ownership requirements/control, including the related paperwork.
