Keynote Speaker

Dr. Elizabeth Heilman
We are excited to announce our 2024 Keynote Speaker:
Dr. Elizabeth Heilman of Regenerative Wisdom LLC.
Her topic: “The Joyful Drought Resilient Farm”
Happiness is one of the most important and least recognized parts of building a farm that can withstand weather extremes and, in the process, generate cost savings and new market options.
Farm to Fork 2024’s keynote speaker Dr. Elizabeth Heilman helps farms and ranches realize the personal and business satisfaction that resilient agriculture principles and practices promise.
She is a professor in the School of Education at Wichita State University, author/editor of five books and over 60 chapters and articles, and a member of the Regenerative Wisdom consulting group led by Dale Strickler, author of the books “The Drought Resilient Farm,” “Managing Pasture,” and “Restoring Your Soil.”
Mr. Strickler will offer a drought resilient farm session at Farm to Fork. Dr. Heilman will kick us off with a close look at where the rubber meets the proverbial road, at the assumptions and beliefs we must understand to consider and implement change. Elizabeth and Dale also run cattle in southeast Kansas and have a farm in southwest Wisconsin where they are involved in community-level change.
